No you don’t, if you know you are going to look at bikes make sure you have the check code with you that the dealer needs to gain access to your licence history. This can be obtained by logging onto https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
I have an EEC licence?
To take a GB driving test or CBT, you normally have to live in Great Britain. If you have recently moved to Great Britain from another EU/EEA country, you must have lived in Great Britain for at least 185 days in the 12 months before taking the test and applying for a full driving licence.
To take a GB driving test you will need to do one of the following:
Apply for a GB form D91 this replaces the counterpart document (D58/2) (Application for a driving licence counterpart for non-GB licence holders) and enclosing your EU/EEA driving licence. They will send these back to you, free of charge, with your D58/2. However, you must pay the appropriate fee and give up your EU/EEA driving licence when you claim your full GB licence.
Exchange your EU/EEA driving licence for a GB provisional licence.

Can I take my full test on a Automatic Bike/Scooter?
That will be fine and we have bikes in both the A1 and A2 licence categories. It will mean that you will only be able to ride an automatic bike/scooter.
What happens if I’ve failed my CBT?
You can not fail your CBT it just means you did not reach the right standard in one day.
A second day is a reduced price (£130 if retaken within 14 days) except if the reason for not getting through on day one was because your highway code /street sense was poor, if so our standard rates apply.
I’ve lost my provisional driving licence can I still train with you? (you only need the photo ID part to do any training).
No, you must apply to the DVLA (phone 0300 790 6801 ) for a duplicate costing £20. You need the licence in your possession before the lessons.
If I book a full motorbike test course do I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, we will require a deposit of £200 at the time of booking by card with the balance is payable 7 days before the first day of your training.
If at the time of booking you have not passed your theory test, we will require full payment.

What do I need to bring with me for a CBT and training days?
You will need your Driving Licence photo ID driving licence.
If you are on a DAS course you will also need to bring your theory test pass certificate and CBT certificate, if you have already completed a CBT.
You will need to wear jeans or heavy-weight trousers and sturdy boots with ankle protection. These are a MUST for the courses and tests will NOT be able to go ahead with inappropriate footwear or clothing as the examiners won”t conduct the test
Any of the following motorcycle equipment will be loaned to you if required –
motorcycle helmet, motorcycle jacket, motorcycle gloves and waterproof over trousers if it’s likely to rain or is cold.

If you are bringing your own bike it must be taxed, insured, and have a valid MOT, be roadworthy and have full-sized L plates (full size) front and rear.
What does my motorcycle test entail and where can I find a training booklet?
There are 2 practical tests: a Mod 1 and Mod 2, you must pass the Mod 1 before you can take the Mod 2.
